AuditWise

Privacy policy

This policy explains, in plain terms, what this website stores, why, and the choices you have. It covers the AuditWise website and waitlist.

Who is responsible

Sortx Software Ltd (company number 17132612, Flat 9 Lowood House, Bewley Street, London, E1 0BT, England) is the data controller for this website. Contact us at hello@auditwise.uk.

What we collect when you join the waitlist or design group

Step one asks for your email and saves it immediately. Later steps are optional and can be skipped. Depending on how much you answer, we may store:

  • your email address, name, company, website and role;
  • company size, industry, the use case you would use first, the tools you use today for this problem, what hurts most, your urgency and budget range;
  • whether you want to join the design group, and what you would want AuditWise to do;
  • how you heard about us, and whether you consented to marketing;
  • your browser's user-agent string, a one-way hash of your IP address (never the raw address), the referring page, and campaign parameters such as utm_source.

The email is required; everything else is optional. This data is sent to our own server and stored in the shared Sortx lead store (a self-hosted PocketBase). Each accepted signup creates a separate submission, including repeat signups with the same email address. Later answers update only that submission. We do not use a third-party form service. The hashed IP address is stored on your lead record only to prevent abuse, and it is kept for as long as the lead itself. We also log that same hashed IP, with the product name, each time the form is started, up to twenty starts an hour from one address; that attempt log is kept for two days for abuse prevention and then deleted. Answering a later step logs no attempt and is never rate-limited by IP address, so a shared office or mobile connection cannot lock your form; we keep a rolling hourly count on your own record to limit submissions to sixty per hour, including the initial signup. Further answers during that hour are not saved.

Why we use it

  • to email you about early access and, if you consented, updates;
  • to understand who wants the product and what to build first;
  • to keep the forms protected from spam and abuse.

Cookies, storage and analytics

We do not set analytics or advertising cookies until you consent. Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage, and an in-progress form is kept in sessionStorage; neither is a tracking cookie. The site also uses the cookies the framework needs to function.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 load on every page, including before you choose. They run under Google Consent Mode v2 with storage denied, so they set no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept; Google still receives your IP address and the pages you view. If you reject, they keep loading with storage denied.

Microsoft Clarity, the Meta Pixel and the Microsoft Bing UET tag load only if you accept, so we can measure whether our ads work. These providers may set cookies and receive your IP address, device and usage data. If you reject, none of the three load at all. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Cookie choices” link in the footer, which reopens the banner; choosing Reject after accepting reloads the page so the tags stop loading.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist data while the product is pre-launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correction, or deletion, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@auditwise.uk and we will respond. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page. It describes the site as it is today.
